This is the book I ran to when I sent back my 8th edition ASC manual. I refer to this book everyday and always have it with me when shooting. Very well laid out and full of useful information. An indispensable tool for cinematographers, and unlike the ASC manual, has NO advertising in it.

The Ethics Game

This book was required for a class I am taking in a Master's degree program. The book is a companion to an interactive learning program called the Ethics Game. The game is ideal for any student or organization which is interested in learning about strategies for making ethical decisions.

The book is an excellence resource separate from the game as well. It is complete with varying theroies from scholars in the Ethics field and different tools for reaaching ethical decisions in difficult situations.

More advanced than what I anticipated

I was hoping to use this book with an undergraduate class related to problem solving. It didn't work very well. The writing was really beyond what most college students can understand and it did seem somewhat redundant in places. Maybe it would work better for a class strictly devoted to ethics or a grad level class.

This book is stellar!

This book is a wonderful, motivational, candid explanation regarding how we can overcome any obstacle or setback. The author has done an exceptional job highlighting the importance of remembering God's promises and pressing onward toward our life goals. The text is very well written and the content is superb. There is wisdom in this book for everyone in any season of life. However, it was particularly enlightening to glean strategies for adapting to changes that often come along with having a family. There were quite a few moments of revelation for me while reading this book! It was very well worth the investment and I'm certain I'll refer to it in the future. The author states, "Lasting change happens when we shift from an instant-gratification mindset to a lifestyle mindset." So profoundly true!

Kendra is an amazing person who is always encouraging and spreading positive words of encouragement and affirmation. She has been an inspiration to me, as I've watched her balance all areas of her life from work, to home to church! There are so many great tips in this book, so make sure you get your stickies ready so you can bookmark and refer back. love the section called "endurance to stay married"; there were many great reminders! I am happy that Kendra decided to share her experience and knowledge all in this book so that people can reference it when they need that extra boost of encouragement to know that despite their current situation, they are indeed "stronger than you [they] think."

This book is a needed reminder that our thinking sometimes "stinks." And even if you're thinking lines up correctly today, it may, and most likely will, "tank" sometime soon - without notice. This book is a perfect help and encouragement and "how to" to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again. No one else will do it for you.
