John A. Weber (Ph.D., University of Wisconsin), is Emeritus Professor of Marketing at the University of Notre Dame where he has been teaching for forty years. He has published over sixty articles, monographs, books, and computers programs on planning corporate growth. John has worked with scores of major firms - among them more than thirty Fortune 500 companies - helping them to identify and pursue new sales and profit growth opportunities. Growth Juice is not your average educational book. It is a fast, easy read with short concise chapters and added cartoons to make this educational read a fun read as well. This book has given me an intimate knowledge of solution selling. The sales strategies highlighted in this book have given me a better understanding of the dos and do nots of the marketing and sales world. Regardless of whether you are a student trying to venture into the sales profession, a teacher trying to educate students or a sales professional trying to elevate your work, there are many things to take away from Growth Juice.

Great way to learn sales strategy

Dr. Weber's book is one of the best sales book I've seen. It goes in-depth into the sales process, from the very beginning until the deal is done and beyond. Far from boring, it does this as a fun and inviting story while still giving substantive facts. I never thought I'd actually enjoy learning about sales but this book has totally changed my opinion. The solution-selling approach is the best I've seen, and it shows that although it helps to have charisma and natural selling ability, it is equally or even more important to have a structured selling approach. I can't recommend this book highly enough!

Growth Juice is a refreshing change to your average text book. The chapters are short and concise to keep your interest. In addition to teaching the reader how to handle any sales situation, there is an interesting story line with characters in the chapters. I have found myself using the techniques I learn from class in interviews and in my job. Sales knowledge will be beneficial in every position. I am incredibly glad that I purchased this book and will definitely be keeping it with me in my job next year.
